Current Data-Model Note
Joined custom-quiz membership is stored in Supabase through quiz_waiting_room_participants so active joined quizzes can be restored after reinstalling the app or clearing local data. Local Hive caches remain performance and legacy fallbacks, not the sole source of joined-quiz identity. Removing a joined quiz removes the user's membership record. Organizer deletion cascades the associated waiting-room membership. Store subscription cancellation remains separate from Jogg account deletion.
Delete Some Data Without Deleting Your Account
Jogg lets users remove or reset certain app data while keeping their Jogg account active where the app provides that control.
Depending on the current app version, this may include:
- local app preferences and settings;
- notification or reminder preferences;
- locally cached learning data;
- user-created quiz or session data where deletion controls are available;
- optional security settings, such as local PIN or biometric preference changes;
- device-specific local data by signing out, clearing app storage, or uninstalling the app.
Deleting local app data does not automatically delete your Jogg account or cloud account records. If you want specific data removed and the app does not provide a direct delete control, contact [email protected] from the email address connected to your Jogg account and describe the data you want deleted.
How To Request Full Account Deletion
You can request account deletion from inside the Jogg app.
- Open the Jogg app.
- Sign in to the account you want to delete.
- Open Settings.
- Open Manage Account or Account Settings.
- Select Delete Account.
- Confirm the deletion request when prompted.
After confirmation, Jogg starts the deletion flow and signs you out.
If you cannot access the app or cannot sign in, contact [email protected] from the email address connected to your Jogg account. Use the subject line Jogg account deletion request and include the account email you want deleted.
For security, MokingBird Oy may require verification before processing deletion requests submitted outside the app.
What Gets Deleted When You Delete Your Account
When an account deletion request is completed, Jogg deletes or schedules deletion of account data controlled by Jogg, including:
- Jogg account profile records, such as user identifier, email, display name, username, and avatar references where stored by Jogg;
- authentication-related account records controlled by Jogg or its authentication provider;
- learning progress records, including framework selection, lane progress, layer progress, XP, level, streak, mastery, accuracy, and completion state;
- quiz session history and practice attempt records associated with the deleted account;
- Daily Jogg history, spaced-repetition state, review queues, and reset counters associated with the account;
- Papers Quest and paper-request records associated with the account where Jogg controls those records;
- custom quiz ownership records, joined quiz records, invite or share metadata, and QR or code-based quiz participation records associated with the account;
- certificate records and verification metadata associated with the deleted account where Jogg controls those records;
- leaderboard profile data and ranking records that identify the account;
- notification tokens, device records, and reminder preferences linked to the account;
- app settings, privacy preferences, and account security preferences stored by Jogg;
- local Jogg app data on the device as part of sign-out, deletion, cache clearing, or uninstall flows where technically available.
Some data may be anonymized instead of deleted when anonymization is the safer or legally appropriate way to preserve service integrity, security, analytics, or anti-abuse records without identifying the deleted user.
What May Be Retained
Some limited records may be retained temporarily or as required by law, security, fraud prevention, billing, dispute resolution, or operational requirements.
Jogg may retain:
- account deletion status records during the deletion-pending period;
- minimal audit records needed to prevent abuse, confirm deletion, or investigate security incidents;
- records required for legal, tax, billing, accounting, or compliance obligations;
- app store purchase and subscription records managed by Google Play or Apple App Store;
- support communications related to the deletion request;
- aggregated or anonymized analytics that no longer identify the deleted account;
- crash logs or diagnostic records that are not reasonably linkable to the deleted account;
- records necessary to protect Jogg, MokingBird Oy, other users, or the public from fraud, abuse, security threats, or unlawful activity.
Jogg does not use retained deletion records to recreate a deleted account.
Retention Period
After a full account deletion request, the account may enter a deletion-pending period of up to 30 days.
This period supports security, abuse prevention, accidental deletion recovery where applicable, and backend cleanup. After the deletion-pending period, Jogg permanently deletes or anonymizes account records controlled by Jogg, unless a longer period is required by law or a legitimate compliance obligation.
Backups and logs may take additional time to expire from secure backup systems. During that time, backup copies are not used for ordinary product operation and are removed according to the applicable backup retention schedule.
Local data on your device is cleared or made inaccessible where supported by the app deletion or sign-out flow. You may also uninstall Jogg or clear app storage from your device settings.
Subscriptions, Purchases, And Unsubscribing
Deleting your Jogg account does not automatically cancel subscriptions or purchases managed by Google Play or Apple App Store.
If you have an active subscription, you should also cancel it through the store where it was purchased:
- Google Play: open Google Play, go to Payments and subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
- Apple App Store: open iOS Settings, select your Apple ID, then Subscriptions.
If Jogg later supports direct web, enterprise, school, or organization billing, billing-related deletion and retention requests should be sent to [email protected].
Unsubscribing from marketing or product emails is separate from deleting your Jogg account. If an email contains an unsubscribe link, use that link. If no unsubscribe link is available, contact [email protected].
Leaving Shared Or Social Features
Deleting an account is different from leaving a quiz, leaderboard, group, organization, or shared activity.
Where Jogg provides shared or social learning features:
- leaving a shared quiz or group removes your future participation where technically supported;
- deleting your account removes or anonymizes your account-linked participation records where Jogg controls them;
- content created or shared with other users may remain visible in anonymized, owner-controlled, or system-controlled form if needed for service continuity, anti-abuse, auditability, or the rights of other users;
- leaderboard entries may be removed, anonymized, or excluded from future ranking after deletion.
If you need help removing your participation from a specific shared feature, contact [email protected].

Depending on your location, including if you are in the European Economic Area, you may have rights to:
